Yoyo Chang is a Taiwan-born British entrepreneur and Founder & CEO of Kody. Yoyo founded Kody with a small group of final-year high school students and successfully raised US$10 million whilst studying at the University of Cambridge. Initially hoping to build a career in investment banking, Yoyo started to invest in the stock market at the age of 13. With returns of over 80% in Q4 2016, he led his school team to first place in a national investment competition and through early success in the stock market, Yoyo invested US$500,000 of his trading profits into starting Kody.
He brings experience from previous roles at Nerd Ventures, Nerd Capital Group, KodyPay and IIC Holdings.
He began their career in 2013 with a part-time work experience role at ATEN UK Ltd. In 2016, they founded IIC Holdings, a family office, and became the Chairman & CEO. That same year, they were also the Number 1 Junior Investor in the UK at the Institute For Fiscal Studies. In 2021, they co-founded Nerd Ventures, a venture capital firm created by KodyPay's founding team.
Yoyo Chang's education history includes studying at Oakfield First School, Trevelyan Middle School, The Windsor Boys' School, where they obtained their GCSEs, Charters School, where they obtained A-levels in Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry with EPQ (Studied Further Mathematics), Cambridge Judge Business School, University of York, Langwith College, and University of Cambridge, King's College (Cantab). Additionally, Yoyo Chang has obtained certifications such as the Level 1 award in Coaching Tennis from 1st4sport Qualifications in July 2017, and the UK Intermediate Mathematical Challenge (Silver) from the UK Mathematics Trust in November 2016.
