About Velizar Tarashev

Velizar Tarashev is a senior Finance leader with 20 years of international strategic and operational experience for global banks and consultancies in the UK and US, and holds an MBA in Finance from Wharton in addition to degrees in Economics and International Studies. Currently, he is the CFO of Moneycorp, an international payments and FX solutions company. He is responsible for all Finance, Treasury, and Credit Risk activities of the firm as well as overseeing the Legal department. Velizar Tarashev joined Moneycorp from Barclays where he spent the last 13 years in a variety of leadership roles across Finance, including CFO for the Private Bank, CFO for Operations and Technology, and global Business Performance & Analytics roles across the bank’s business lines and functions. Prior to this, he spent several years with UBS establishing its foothold in M&A and IPO transactions for the CEE region, and with AT Kearney where he delivered strategy and operations consultancy for major FMCG and pharma brands.
