Taylan Turan is the CEO, Retail Banking for Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB). Based in London, he is responsible for the Retail Bank globally, spanning Retail Banking Customer Segments, International Business, Lending, Payments, Marketing, Physical and Digital Channels and Data & Analytics, and the payments start up Zing. Taylan has been a member of global WPB ExCo since October 2017 and is a non-exec board member at HSBC Global Asset Management. Taylan joined HSBC in 2009 as the Global Head of Investments, Insurance and International and has a broad range of WPB experience, in particular Regional and Country Head roles, Head of Strategy and Planning, Head of Wealth Management and Head of Transformation. Prior to joining HSBC, Taylan held a number of senior executive roles at Citigroup and Barclays across a number of markets including Turkey, Russia, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Taylan holds an Economics degree from Bogazici University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. Taylan is the Group Head of Customers, Products and Strategy at HSBC for Wealth and Personal Banking. He looks after the Global teams spanning Strategy & Planning, Customers & International, Wealth Management, Personal Banking Products, FX & Payments, Data & Analytics and Digital Messaging Experiences and Sales.
