About Tan Bin Ru

Tan Bin Ru is the CEO of OneConnect Financial Technology (International) and COO for OneConnect China. She is responsible for expanding OneConnect’s financial technology solutions internationally outside of China. She is also currently the Co- Chairwoman of BAS ( Blockchain Association of Singapore)

Bin Ru has over 20 years of experience in Sales and Operations, and has driven successful sales strategies and operational improvements with multiple MNCs and startups. She was the Regional Sales Director for One Commercial Partner and Small, Mid-market Corporate Customers for Southeast Asia at Microsoft.

She had also worked with Hewlett Packard for 10 years where she served a variety of roles in Singapore and Houston in the area of Sales Strategy, Alliance Management, Business Planning, Worldwide Operations, and Strategic Management.

At the recent Singapore FinTech Awards 2019, Bin Ru has been recognized as one of the “Top 5 Women in FinTech” for her exceptional contribution to the Singapore fintech industry, and “Top 50 Asia FinTech Leaders” for her leadership in building a sustainable international company amidst its rapid expansion in the region.

Bin Ru graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Statistics and Operations Research). She also holds a post-graduate diploma in Supply Chain Management and is a certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
