About Tamara Steffens

Tamara is an early stage venture investor with over 20 years of experience driving growth and successful exits for early-stage consumer and enterprise startups. She has a proven ability to successfully initiate, structure, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships, capital markets, and merger and acquisition transactions and has deep industry expertise across mobile technology, financial services, telecom, and education. Tamara led investing and VC partnerships in North America and India for M12, Microsoft’s venture fund, and was the executive sponsor of the fund’s Female Founders Competition. Before that, she led business development for the broader Office 365 organization. Tamara came to Microsoft through the company’s 2014 acquisition of Accompli (now Outlook mobile), where she led sales and business development for the mobile productivity app. Prior to Acompli, Tamara successfully helped lead several startups to either IPO or acquisition, including Software.com, Boingo, Fusion One and Path.
