Suresh Vaghjiani is an experienced financial services executive having held senior roles at both FCA regulated companies and leading edge technology companies. At Tribe Payments he was was Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this he was Managing Director and President at Global Processing Services during its rapid growth stage and has also represented the fintech sector and the UK Government on a number of trade missions including Mexico, Canada, China including a historic delegation with the R.H Lord Mayor of London to the southern hemisphere. He has hosted meeting with senior ministers including the current UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Suresh brings a wealth of knowledge in global payments with prior roles also at FTSE companies Paysafe Group PLC and Kalixa Payments Group.
He has a substantial understanding of electronic money, throughout its complete value chain, with strategic knowledge on what works and does not work in various international markets. Suresh was voted #1 in the Payments Power 10, an annual top ten list of key influencers in the payments industry in 2018. In 2017 Suresh became the first non-American in its 11 year history to be awarded the prestigious Industry achievement award by PAY magazine.
Suresh Vaghjiani brings a wealth of knowledge in global payments. In his former role as Head of Issuing at Paysafe Group PLC, Suresh successfully established the Issuing and newly formed Card Services division. Being a founding member of Kalixa Payments Group, in his role as Head of Kalixa Pay, Suresh worked with Transport for London to pilot some of the first contactless wearables to use on the London transport network. In 2011, Suresh launched the first ever contactless wristwatch in the UK. This is in addition to being responsible for launching the first App controlled NFC solution for iphone in Europe.
Suresh was selected to join the working group for the Payment Strategy Forum which will help shape changes in the payments industry that the FCA will make through the Payment Systems Regulator.
