Silvija Martincevic, CEO, COO and Founder in e-commerce and fintech with 20+ years of experience building, growing and scaling global businesses, including Affirm and Groupon. Passionate about building companies, growing high performing teams and helping underserved communities to thrive through technology. Silvija Martincevic is CEO and Board Director of Deputy. Deputy is a global leader in smart scheduling and workforce management for shift workers and businesses. Deputy's leading software solution streamlines communication, scheduling, tasks, and timesheets for more than 1.3 million shift workers and 330,000 businesses in over 100 countries. Silvija was Chief Commercial Officer at Affirm from 2019 until 2023, leading Sales, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, Client Success, Communications and International expansion. Under Silvija’s leadership, Affirm built and scaled partnerships with prominent brands, including Walmart, Williams Sonoma, Amazon, American Airlines, Shopify, and Target, growing Affirm merchant network from 5K to over 200K. These partnerships paved the way for Affirm to be available at checkout for 60% of U.S. e-commerce while growing revenue from ~$100m to $1.3B in 3 years. Since Silvija Martincevic joined, Affirm’s consumer network scaled from 1M to over 13M consumers, while Affirm brand awareness grew from 16% to 45% in the U.S. On top of this, Silvija built and grew a world-class commercial organization across five countries. Prior to Affirm, Silvija led Groupon's International business as Chief Operating Officer leading a team of over 1,000+ with revenues of > $1B across 14 countries in Europe, Asia and Australia. At Groupon, Silvija also served as Chief Marketing Officer - International, and General Manager for the $900M+ Health & Beauty - North America business. Silvija joined Groupon in 2011 and has held senior leadership roles across the company, including in analytics, pricing, business development, marketing and product strategy. Prior to Groupon, Silvija Martincevic spent 10 years in the investment industry building investment portfolios for large institutions. She founded Zenna Financial Services in 2003, an investment management company, which was acquired in 2007, and held other senior leadership roles in the investment and hedge fund industry, specifically investing in women- and minority-owned investment funds. Silvija Martincevic received an MBA in Econometrics and Statistics from the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago, and a BA in Economics from Beloit College.
