About Shruthi Rao

Shruthi Rao is Co-Founder and CEO of Adapt Ready. Adapt Ready is a technology company that delivers a new approach to navigate emerging global risks arising from extreme weather and climate events. In this capacity, she combines her expertise in technology, sustainability and business management to lead a growing team of IT and climate specialists. Previously, she was a management consultant advising companies on energy efficiency investments, climate resiliency, accountability and transparency. Clients span industries from information technology and publishing to breweries and retailers. Shruthi is a 2010 Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) Climate Corps Fellow [1]. Her work received acclaim in the Uptime Institute 2011 Green IT Enterprise Awards competition [2]. In addition, she has been a panelist and moderator on numerous global sustainability panels. Shruthi also has 7+ years of experience in IT and an MBA in Global Management. Having traveled extensively around the world and lived in four continents, she has an in-depth understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures.
