Sheela Zemlin has been a successful commercial executive for a number of hypergrowth Silicon Valley SaaS, Fintech and Enterprise AI companies which have scaled to unicorn status and public companies, such as Bill.com, Bakkt and Neoforma. In these roles, she led sales, channels, customer success, revenue operations, market intelligence and demand generation. In addition, she led global operations and strategy for the go-to-market function of Taleo, leading up to and after its $2B acquisition by Oracle. Sheela also helped to launch the corporate venture group at the global consultancy PwC as a Partner and Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, she co-led the firm’s investments in, acted as operating executive and served on the boards of the eight incubated software startups assisting with routes to market, monetization, organizational design and scaling strategies. Sheela Zemlin is currently an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School where she serves as a visiting lecturer and student coach in the full-time MBA courses Entrepreneurial Sales and Decoding Growth in Silicon Valley. Sheela Zemlin has served as a Corporate Board Director of Digimarc (Nasdaq: DMRC) and currently acts as a board advisor to a number of early stage technology companies. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Michigan State University. With over 15 years of experience in leading revenue-generating and customer-facing functions of B2B SaaS companies, she has a proven track record of achieving extraordinary growth, scaling efficiently, and delivering results for internal and external customers. Sheela Zemlin has directly led multi-channel revenue growth from $25M to $60M and from $40M to $80M, as well as global GTM operations during $180M to $350M. She has also served as a GM for multiple global $100M+ SaaS businesses, and built from scratch direct sales, channels, customer success, sales ops, demand gen, and a corporate venture function. As an independent advisor to a select group of growth companies, she leverages her domain, functional, and scaling for 10x expertise to assist early to mid-stage company founder/CEOs. Sheela Zemlin serves on the advisory boards of Veem, a global payments platform, and MIC Global, a microinsurance platform. She is an active limited partner in Alumni Ventures AI fund and Stage 2 Capital. Sheela Zemlin has served on the Boards of Directors of public (Digimarc, Nasdaq: DMRC) and several private ventures. She is a member of NACD and has completed certification through the Stanford Directors' Consortium.
