About Sergio Ermotti

Chief Executive Officer of UBS Group as of March 29th 2023. Since April 2021 Sergio served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Swiss Re. Also Chairman of Investindustrial Acquisition Corporation (since January 2021). Since December 2021 Sergio served as lead non-executive director at Ermenegildo Zegna N. V. As from January 2023 I also serve as board member at Innosuisse, Switzerland's Federal Innovation Promotion Agency. The Board is the strategic body which steers Innosuisse in line with the objectives of the Swiss Federal Council. Prior to that, served as UBS Group Chief Executive Officer from November 2011 until October 2020. When I joined UBS in April 2011, I became a member of the Group Executive Board and was Chairman and CEO of UBS Group Europe, Middle East and Africa from April to November 2011. Before moving to UBS, served as Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer at UniCredit, Milan from 2007 to 2010, responsible for the strategic business areas of Corporate and Investment Banking, and Private Banking. Sergio joined UniCredit Group in 2005 as Head of Markets & Investment Banking Division. Previously with Merrill Lynch from 1987 until 2003 in several roles. Between 2001 and 2003, served as co-Head of Global Equity Markets and as a member of the Executive Management Committee for Global Markets & Investment Banking. Before this, I held various positions within equity derivatives and capital markets.
