Serena Smith most recently served as executive vice president and head of Global Treasury Management & Payment Strategy at Texas Capital Bank where she structured the PCI environment for the newly implemented commercial card program while engaging partners and designing processes to add value to clients and revenue to the banks bottom line.

Before Texas Capital Bank, Smith served as division executive of International Banking & Payment at FIS. This role included product, strategy, development, and deployment into the international banking and payments businesses. This position also included financial responsibility for the real-time payments business globally.

Throughout her career, Smith has played key roles in P&L management, product development, sales, operations and service delivery. She has been honored for her contributions to the payments sector, including the 2019 Women in Payments USA award, 2018 American Business Maverick of the Year award, 2017 Women in Payments USA Management Team of the Year award and others.

Dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives, Serena is connected with various community organizations such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is a stage IV blood cancer survivor who personally raised more than $250,000 through sharing her story.
