About Sarah Cardell

Sarah Cardell is Interim Chief Executive at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). She was previously the CMA’s General Counsel with Executive leadership responsibility for the CMA's Legal Service, Policy and International and Digital Markets Unit functions. She also serves on the Board of the W@Competition UK network. Previously Sarah was Legal Partner of the Markets Division at Ofgem, where her responsibilities included leading on competition law matters; and a Partner in the Competition Group at Slaughter and May, where she advised across a wide range of EU and UK merger and antitrust cases.
