About Sai Lakshmi

Sai Lakshmi is the CEO and founder of Caura, a pharmacy startup in the UK. Sai previously worked as a business development manager at Apple, an M&A associate at Arma Partners, and a consultant at Bain & Company. Sai started their career as a summer analyst at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney. Caura has raised £4.8m in funding from TwinFocus, Jaguar Land Rover, Pareto Holdings and Quiet Capital. Sai Lakshmi was educated at The Manchester Grammar School, before going on to study Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London. Sai then completed a DPhil (PhD) in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Some direct reports include Shaun Foce - CTO & Co-Founder, Alan Hickman - Director of Insurance, and Bhavin Kotecha - Finance Director & Co-Founder. Sai Lakshmi is no new-comer to launching businesses. He previously founded Echo - an app to manage NHS repeat prescriptions on your smartphone, which gave him extensive experience of working in regulated markets. Sai Lakshmi ’s life before startups wasn’t far from apps or cars either. He was a Business Development Manager for iPhone, iPad and Beats at Apple’s European HQ and started his career at Bain & Company. Prior to this, He  completed a Jaguar Land Rover sponsored DPhil (PhD) in Vehicle Crash Dynamics at the University of Oxford, after studying Engineering at Imperial College London.
