About Roy Ng

Roy is co-founder and CEO of Bond, the leading full-stack embedded finance platform that enables businesses from any industry to create personalized financial experiences for their customers and communities. Using Bond's software and API platform, developers can embed next-generation financial products to create amazing customer experiences. Roy believes in the power of fintech and its promise to change the way businesses and banks serve their customers for the better - democratizing access to financial services. Roy was previously President & COO of Mapbox, the leading location platform for developers. Prior to Mapbox, Roy served as COO of Twilio, where he led commercial operations, responsible for global sales, account management and customer success, corporate development and partnerships, strategy and business operations. He was instrumental in transitioning the private startup to a publicly listed company. Prior to Twilio, Roy was Senior Vice President & COO for SAP's Cloud Business Unit. He joined SAP through SAP's $3.4 billion acquisition of SuccessFactors, where he was Vice President of Global Business Operations. Prior to his operating roles, Roy was Vice President and Head of West Coast Software Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs. He built and led the firm’s rapidly growing Software-as-a-Service franchise and completed over $23 billion of M&A and financing transactions for clients in the technology, media and telecom industries globally. Roy graduated from U.C. Berkeley, with dual degrees in Business Administration and Political Science. He serves on the board of Junior Achievement and is a member of the Dean's Advisory Circle at the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. He’s an angel investor and advisor to early-stage technology companies. Roy is fluent in Cantonese and conversational in Mandarin.
