About Rita Liu

Rita Liu's experience in fintech spans across multiple regions (Asia, Europe, and North America) and areas (b2b & b2c payment, digital wallets, digital assets). Rita has multiple successful experience of defining strategy, then building and growing new business from scratch, overseeing key functions from business development, marketing & operation, to product management. This experience has helped her build in-depth knowledge and extensive network in the industry. As a frequent public speaker, Rita champions female leadership in technology. Rita Liu was the CEO and Director of Mode Global Holdings, an LSE listed fintech group with a vision to build the most trusted digital asset company to help customers discover, own, and utilize digital assets. Mode was approved by FCA for both EMI license and AMLD5 Registration for Cryptoasset activities in UK. Before Mode, Rita worked at Alipay for 10 years where she held several senior roles, including Head of Europe, Middle East, and Africa – establishing and overseeing the company’s business in the region, Head of Canada and later as CEO of Alipay (UK) Limited, serving on the board of the company.
