About Pierre Palmieri

I have been working within Societe Generale Group for over 30 years, and held various positions within SG CIB in export finance, commodity finance, trade finance and natural resources & energy, before becoming Head of Global Finance in 2012 and currently Head of Global Banking and Advisory since 2019. Global Banking and Advisory combines advisory, capital markets and financing activities with the aim to provide the most integrated service offering to the Bank’s clients, on a worldwide basis. On top of my responsibilities as Head of Global Banking and Advisory, I am also leading our Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance offering, which incorporates the bank’s Environmental & Social (E&S) expertise into a wide range of innovative financial solutions that satisfy the E&S requirements and opportunities of our issuer and investor clients. I have been a member of Societe Generale Group Management Committee since 2011, and a member of the Corporate & Investment Banking Exco since 2012. I also taught finance at Paris Dauphine University as "Professeur associé" in the 90s, and I give lectures at EDHEC business school. I am or have been Board Member of several companies, including SGBT (in Luxembourg), SG Brazil, Rosbank (in Russia), and Gaselys (a former JV between Engie and Societe Generale).
