About Peter Searle

After the purchase of the Delphi Group, a fully listed PLC of which Peter Searle was Group Managing Director in 1999 by Adecco he took on responsibility for the European and Asia Pacific offices of professional services companies of the Adecco Group under the specialty brand name of Ajilon. In 2005 after a global reorganisation he became the Chief Executive of Adecco UK and Ireland with additional responsibility for South Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand. In 2006 Peter Searle left to join Spring, a fully listed PLC, as Chief Executive and then returned to Adecco as Regional Head of the UK and Ireland in 2009 when Adecco purchased Spring . Peter Searle was appointed to the Group Executive Committee of Adecco as of October 2009. Peter left Adecco in Sept 2015 and ran the merger of Air Energi and Swift worldwide resources to create Airswift . On the completion of the merger in Jan 2016 he took on the role of Chief Executive. After three years Peter moved to the role of Exec Chair for a further two years. This ceased in may 2020 when Peter moved to a fully plural career. Since then Peter Searle has taken on a number of roles including Executive Chair and subsequently Chair of the leading listed executive Search firm Norman Broadbent. Peter Searle was heavily involved in educational government initiatives and in 2013 was asked to appear on the Government’s Select Committee for Education. Peter was a Non Executive Director of the Start Up Loans Company, a government funded scheme reporting directly into the Prime Minister for 5 years , which provided loans and mentors for young entrepreneurs. Peter Searle was also vice chair of the Deputy Prime Minister’s ,Nick Clegg’s, social Mobility project , Opening Doors which ran through 2013 and 2014 and which oversaw the Governments apprenticeship and internship awards. Additionally Peter Searle has held a number of other non Executive positions being the Chair of My digital accounts for 4 years 2015-2019 , non exec of Orca technology 2018-2020 and Chairman of Hiring Hub 2020-2023. Peter Searle was awarded entrepreneur of the year by the REC in 2008 and won Recruitment International Business Leader of the Year in 2009. In 2010 the REC awarded Peter a lifetime achievement award for services to recruitment and in 2020 Recruitment International awarded Peter Searle a place in their ‘Hall of Fame ‘ for promoting the recruitment Industry . Peter Searle has an Honors Degree in Business and a Post- Grad Diploma in Marketing amd completed a Mini MBA at INSEAD sponsored by Adecco.
