Transformation and growth takes time and persistence, a willingness to plant and nurture perspectives, ideas, processes and policy approaches that will progressively deliver more and more to organizations and individuals and be substantially self-sustaining. I have broad and deep experience in security of telecoms and critical infrastructure, within enterprise, service provider and SaaS settings and at all stages of growth and scale, including startups, scaleups, government and Fortune-100 businesses. I am particularly interested in work that finds a way to balance the trade-offs around risk management and business impact, in the grey zone where risks, processes, technical requirements, business goals and strategy intersect. No day is typical, but it may involve direct support of security engineering and analysis work as well as initiating strategic planning sessions with members of a board, or leading compliance task force projects and presenting to regulators, through to roleplaying threat models around recruitment risks with Human Resources teams.
