Peter’s current focus is on the strategic management and global growth of financial technologies. As President of Hyperwallet, the leading payout platform for on-demand and collaborative economy companies, Peter guided the organization through a successful recapitalization, followed by global expansion and the ultimate sale of the business to PayPal. Peter is a recognizable figure in the San Francisco fintech community and global payments industry.
Peter Burridge has previously served in leadership roles at Oracle, Siebel, Travelex Global Business Payments, and as an investor and advisor in the technology sector.
Specialties include corporate development, market entry, sales and solution selling, payments, operations, licensing and compliance, AML and customer-focused business transformation.
Outside the office, Peter’s passions include racing cars, golf and rugby union.
Peter Burridge is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer at NomuPay, where they focus on solving the complexities of international payments. Prior to this role, Peter was the Head of Operations Payouts at PayPal from 2019 to 2020. Peter also held various positions at Hyperwallet, including President, Chief Operating Officer, Board Member, and Investor, from 2010 to 2019, before it was acquired by PayPal. Peter has also worked as an Investor and Advisor at FireScope in 2009, Managing Director - Global Business Payments at Travelex from 2006 to 2009, and held leadership roles at Siebel Systems from 1990 to 2006. At Siebel Systems, they served as President Asia Pacific and Japan for Siebel and later as Senior Vice President Sales Asia Pacific for Oracle after the acquisition.
Peter Burridge attended Nelson College from 1978 to 1981, but did not obtain a degree or specialize in any particular field of study during this time. Peter later attended Massey University from 1983 to 1987 and completed a Bachelor of Business Studies (B.B.S) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance/Information Technology.
