Paul Speirs has over 30 years of experience in leadership roles within consumer financial services. In this time, Paul Speirs has gained a plethora of experience across a broad spectrum of strategy, commercial, technology, and operational roles. He has managed businesses through the financial crisis, delivered large-scale people transformation programs, and has extensive knowledge of managing regulated businesses.
Paul Speirs has sat on a number of UK Experian boards, particularly M&A, and has presented to investment and operational committees. He has been a member of interim boards for a number of UK acquisitions, looking after operational risk and compliance.
Currently, Paul is the Managing Director of Experian’s UK Consumer Business, sitting on the UK Executive Team, responsible for all strategy, execution, and operational governance. This $350m revenue business serves B2B clients across the banking and financial services sector, operated through 900 people based in the UK, India, and Bulgaria. Paul Speirs has been on six acquired business boards, both pre- and post-acquisition.

Each month, Digital help millions of consumers in the UK by showing them credit cards, loans and mortgages that they have a very strong chance of being accepted for as well as enabling consumers control their finances using their own Open Data with organisations.
Paul Speirs has delivered large-scale people transformation programs, redesigning organizational structures and operational processes in the UK and offshore locations.
Paul Speirs has sponsored six acquisitions (M&A) of Fintech businesses with valuations exceeding $200m, presenting business cases to Experian boards for approval, and joining acquired company boards as part of integration.
Paul Speirs has been responsible for delivering large-scale technology transformation programs, moving from legacy mainframe platforms into the cloud. His extensive experience with data, analytics, and managing software products has been pivotal in these efforts.
Paul is now looking for Non-Exec Director or business advisor roles and is keen to network with FinTech Founders and those in the FinTech Venture Investment/Private Equity Community in a business advisory capacity.
