Nandan Mer is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Network International. He brings more than 30 years’ experience to his role, working closely with the Chairman and Board members and leading the Executive Management Team to pursue strategic expansion goals. He also serves as Chairman/Director of Network International subsidiary companies for the Middle East and Africa, and brings a deep understanding of the markets in the Middle East, Africa, India, Czech Republic, Israel, Russia and the UK. Building on Network’s strong foundations, as CEO Nandan is driving Network to the forefront of rapidly evolving customer needs, and emphasising innovation and agility in order to extend its leadership position across markets. He prioritises progressing with growth accelerators, such as the completion of DPO and market entry into Saudi Arabia. Nandan has a strong background in payments, consumer finance and corporate banking, and boasts a proven track record of successfully building businesses to profitable scale and dominant market share at leading financial institutions across several global markets, including American Express, Citigroup, United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Mastercard. During his 10 year career at Mastercard, he was Strategy Head for International Markets, President for the Japanese business and Head of Global Consumer Credit and Loyalty Solutions. He was responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including strengthening business alliances with the customer base, enhancing brand awareness and promoting the growth of Mastercard usage. Before joining Mastercard, Nandan led consumer and institutional banking businesses in Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe. Nandan Mer holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. His hobbies include playing golf.
