About Mike Smits

Mike Smits is a Chartered Accountant by profession who doesn't fit the grey pin striped suit stereotype. His focus throughout his career has been in entrepreneurial growth companies whether through acquisition, organic growth or start-up organisations. He is a businessman who's operational focus has been to grow companies making sure that the relevant systems, people and policies are put in place to support fast-growing businesses. He believes that building scalable businesses is the ultimate scorecard of success and is the best way of creating jobs and giving back to communities. Mike Smits is the current Co-Founder and CFO of Ukheshe. He previously worked at Smile Communications as a GM Finance. Mike Smits attended the University of Johannesburg.
