About Michael Aagaard

I have 20 years of experience in the financial markets, from different roles within Investment Banking. I have hands on experience in building Investment Banking products, helping the company transform from being a small niche player to becoming a global market leader. I have specialized within Foreign Exchange trading, covering the whole value chain, from pre trade, liquidity management, risk management, algorithmic hedging, to post trade and profitability. I have a strong analytical mindset, and I am used to, and especially enjoy working with, complex problems requiring coordination and communication in a global organization with different needs and requirements. I work self-oriented and systematically, show responsibility and deliver high-quality solutions. On a good day at work, I have been busy with complex tasks, and feel that I have contributed to the overall goals of the project/company. I like to use my experience to guide colleagues in the right direction, and work as a team towards common goals. I’m able to analyze complex business challenges, by breaking it up into manageable tasks, and bridging business requirements into technical solutions. I have a proven track record in creating significant business value, by finding the right solutions. Solutions, that not only solves the problem at hand, but also ensures scalability, efficiency, and synergies to create maximum value for the company and its clients. The last project I completed for Saxo Bank, was to successfully launch a Crypto currency trading offering, which is very successful, and will be an important product for the bank going forward.
