About Maureen Lonergan

I am a customer-focused leader, on a personal mission to elevate education opportunities for everyone, regardless of their circumstances. Before starting at AWS eight years ago, I spent time teaching school to children in Mozambique. I had spent my adult life in training, but it was during this gap year that I knew I had found my passion in educating the world. I jumped at the opportunity to build a training strategy at AWS to help people and organizations change the world with cloud technology. In my role as Director of Worldwide AWS Training and Certification, it’s a pleasure to work with talented and creative individuals to build global training programs that help learners and organizations innovate. Technology is changing everything! For our part, I am incredibly proud of how we are helping empower today’s generations, and generations to come to create their best future.
