Mark Pyke, payments executive with 30 years of experience with wide-ranging sales, product, M&A and market development know-how encompassing both eCommerce and brick & mortar based businesses across multiple merchant industry segments.
As previous President of Nuvei North America, Mark Pyke leveraged his extensive payments expertise to generate strong organic and M&A driven growth at a leading provider of technology-driven payment processing solutions, ultimately resulting in a successful IPO in September 2020 (NASDAQ: NVEI; TSX: NVEI).
As the former leader of the Merchant Segment at TSYS, Mark generated strong business results while leading TSYS' entry into the direct acquiring industry through five acquisitions, totaling $3 billion in value. Serving on the TSYS management committee, he brought more than 25 years of payments and financial services experience to the company.
Mark was President of BA Merchant Services (BAMS), a $900 million revenue subsidiary of Bank of America, prior to founding Payments Acquisitions in 2007. He served as President of the world's second largest merchant business.
Mark is well known for his broad and detailed knowledge of many facets of the payments business, including product, sales, operations, risk management and compliance. Mark gained public company experience as COO of BAMS predecessor, NPC, and held key positions at NaBANCO, an early pioneer in the payments industry.
Mark has been a Board member of EWI Prepaid, ABN AMRO Merchant Services, First National Merchant Solutions and Electronic Transaction Association, as well as Chairman of the Board of Central Payment, a TSYS Joint Venture. Mark has been a member of the MasterCard International Operating Committee, the Visa U.S.A. Acquiring Council and the Discover Acquirers Advisory Council.
Mark holds a B.S. from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
