Larry Bettino has been investing in technology-based businesses for the past 35 years, having invested well over $1 billion in both private equity and venture capital transactions. He has been responsible for the formation of the investment strategy for multiple private equity and venture capital funds, with investments ranging from under $1 million to several hundred million in size.
He has been a highly-involved and active board member for several dozen businesses ranging from start-up to multi-hundred million in revenue. He has taken on key roles including board positions of Chairman and leading committees on compensation, governance, audit, and investment.
He has significant experience in the technology areas of software, cloud-based computing, data management, application development, social media, and mobility. His functional expertise has included business plan development, sales and marketing, pricing strategy, and business processes and workflow.
Larry Bettino has his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School. He lives in Bronxville, NY with his wife Susan and their three children.

He was a Partner and Managing Director of Warburg Pincus, joining the firm in September 2001 to lead the firm’s investment activities in telecommunications and information technology, and a member of the firm’s executive management group.
Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he was a founding partner at Baker Capital. From 1989 to 1996 he was a partner with Dillon Read Venture Capital where he focused on technology and data communications investments. An experienced engineer, he held a series of technical and management positions at IBM. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of several public and private companies: IRON Solutions (Data-as-a-Service provider: The largest farm equipment transaction information database), Accept Software (a solution for Innovation Process Management), Switchfly (a leading loyalty redemption platform and payments engine for travel); Transactis (a leading provider of electronic bill presentment and payment [EBPP] solutions), Travora Media, (a leading next-generation travel platform.
He is a member of the Board of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, the largest entrepreneurial support organization in the southeast. He is also the Chief Investment Officer and Board member of the Community Fund, which supports charitable agencies with funding and mentorship in Southern Westchester County in New York.
Larry Bettino received his B.S. (1982) in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School (1989).
