About Jonathan Hawkins

I am a passionate and experienced pensions and financial services technologist, I design forward-thinking solutions to complex problems and I consult with wealth platforms, pensions schemes and industry on pensions, financial services, automations and tech by providing over 25 years of experience and insight from administration, automation and tech. Bravura provides software and services to some of the world’s largest financial services firms. We operate across the whole wealth and transfer agency value chain, with a mission to make our clients successful. I gained my experience through 25 years’ within the UK & Irish markets within both Trust based and contract based firms I began in pensions admin, then onto management positions within implementation and support teams, then into solution and proposition design with a sojourn into business development. I designed the tech solution for one of the first UK commercial master trusts. I am an occasional platform speaker, vid-caster, conversationalist and party bore on workplace savings, financial services, and fintech. My experience and thinking within the Pensions Dashboards space since 2016 allows me to see the problems and opportunities which has allowed me to utilise the combined power and experience of Bravura to design innovative solutions to the connection problem. I’ve always been in and around workplace pensions and I am excited to work to deliver new and innovative workplace financial wellness options, brilliantly automated and self service solutions for employers and the wider saving public. I have a desire to remove complexity, duplication and poor service. I relish change – I find it such a thrill to transform processes or business functions to new and streamlined approaches. In particular I enjoy shaking up the normal and business as usual – automating, energising and changing. I began this by automating manual pensions calculations, and today I look at automation and self service of business functions. In Bravura I Lead the Global LGBT+ diversity pillar and network (bYou) and am part of the Global D&I leadership. I built the LGBT+ pillar from the ground up and have raised the profile and built a network across the organisation. I'm an LGBTQIA+ mentor, lead and activist to enable people to be able to be their best, authentic selves. I enthusiastically and passionately help others to become allies to the community.
