About Johan Pihl

Johan Pihl is a Swedish creative director and entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience working in the advertising industry. Johan has since 2014 shifted focus towards purpose-driven service design and innovation. His work builds on exploring new business models at the intersection of design, technology, and business, resulting in tangible solutions aligning with both long-term business value and world-improving purpose. Johan has successfully developed and launched purpose-driven innovation projects such as; The Natalia Project 2014, Baltic Sea Project / Åland Index 2016, The Humanium Metal Initiative 2016, DO Black 2019, and The 2030 Calculator 2020. In 2018 Johan started Doconomy together with Mathias Wikström. He has consistently produced work that has been recognized by global media and awarded in Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Tomorrow Awards, Clio Awards, New York Festivals, Eurobest, and Guldägget, receiving 100+ industry awards, including a total of 3 Cannes Lions Grand Prix, and 4 Eurobest Grand Prix awards. Johan has extensive jury experience and is an experienced keynote speaker at major industry events and festivals. Johan is currently pursuing an EMBA at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.
