About Jiten Arora

Jiten Arora, Member of SC Ventures, focuses on establishing SME ecosystems to create trusted B2B commerce environment and enable financial inclusion for small businesses globally. Jiten Arora oversees a portfolio of ventures across Africa and Asia, with the vision of building an open & comprehensive ecosystem that connects all market players including fintechs, data partners, local banks and other financial institutions, to empower SMEs to expand their businesses domestically as well as internationally. Among the strategic initiatives he leads, SOLV is an SCV incubated SME platform, dedicated to realizing sustainable growth for SMEs in emerging markets. Prior to SC Ventures, Jiten Arora was the Global Head for Commercial Banking of Standard Chartered Bank. He managed the Bank's Commercial Banking business in 22 markets across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, and was responsible for developing business strategies across a full range of client solutions, including Trade Finance, Cash Management, Financial Markets, and Corporate Finance, for over 45,000 local corporations and medium-sized enterprises across the Bank's footprint markets. With almost 3 decades of experience, Jiten Arora brings with him a wealth of industry experience and deep product knowledge. He joined Standard Chartered Bank in 2001 and has held numerous senior leadership positions in the Bank across Commercial Banking, Corporate and Institutional Banking and Transaction Banking. Jiten Arora holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and he is based in Singapore. Over three decades of professionally diverse experience, cultivated through continuous learning, exploration, and a penchant for experimentation, he has consistently embraced new challenges, excelled in unfamiliar domains and high-pressure environments, offering a unique blend of creative strategy, insightful problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
