About Jacob de Geer

Mr. Jacob De Geer is a Co-Founder & serves as Chief Executive Officer at Zettle by PayPal. Mr. Jacob De Geer is an Angel Investor. He served as Board Member at Ark Kapital. Previously he Co-Founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer at Ameibo. Prior to this, he served as the Business Development Director at TradeDoubler. He received his MS in Business Administration & Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. Recognised as one of the most influential leaders in fintech, Jacob co-founded iZettle in 2010 in Stockholm. iZettle revolutionised mobile payments with the world’s first mini chip card reader and software for mobile devices. Since 2018, iZettle is part of the PayPal family and the 2,2bn USD acquisition is PayPal’s second largest M&A transaction ever. Jacob de Geer is passionate about providing access to financial services to those in the economy that are normally underserved - small businesses. Leading PayPal’s newly formed Small Business Segment Solutions team, which includes PayPal’s in-store (iZettle and PayPal Here), Business Debit Mastercard and Invoicing products, Jacob is focused on creating a suite of best-in-class products for merchants globally. Jacob de Geer grew up in Stora Wäsby Castle in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. His father, Carl de Geer, was a banker and his mother Christina worked as a teacher. In 1999, de Geer became the first employee of TradeDoubler, a digital marketing company founded by Martin Lorentzon.
