I have worked 23 years with multilateral development cooperation in Africa, Latin America and Asia. I currently serve the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)/United Nations, with previous positions held in the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), African Development Bank (AfDB) and the European Commission (EC). I have led diverse and multi-disciplinary teams designing and supervising investment projects in the areas of environment, natural resources management, disaster risk management and rural development, as well as spearheaded portfolio management, quality assurance and change management initiatives. I have a Masters degree in biology from Stockholm University, coupled with additional studies in economics and environmental management. I can work in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
