About Dawn Cannon

Dawn Cannon has spent two decades of her career in banking. Dawn is the Chief Operating Officer for FinWise Bank, who envisions a community where individuals, families, and small businesses have access to transparent financial products and services that provide exceptional value and are delivered on demand. In short, financial equality, inclusion, and progression. Dawn is currently responsible for General Operations, Information Technology, Project Management, Marketing, Customer Service and Branch Operations. Prior to joining FinWise Bank, she spent over 16 years at a Utah industrial bank specializing in home improvement lending, where she helped the bank grow from $10 million in loans and 23 employees in 2002 to over $1.4 billion in loans and 285 employees when she left in 2018. She holds a MBA in Finance (graduating summa cum laude), a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (graduating summa cum laude), a Marketing certificate and several other executive education certifications. Being an Architect personality type (Myers-Briggs, INTJ) and a servant-styled leader, Dawn has a unique ability to quickly discern in order to solve complex problems leveraging a combination of people, process and technology. She has a passion for making things efficient, focusing on customer experience, and inspiring others to help implement her vision for change. When not focused on work or serving her community, she keeps herself busy raising three children, teaching yoga, spending time in nature, and finding unique ways to express her creativity.
