About Dave Chapman

Chapman is the Executive Director of BC Group (HKSE stock no: 0863) and Co-Founder of OSL. As an industry pioneer, Chapman has played a key role in elevating standards in the digital asset ecosystem and introducing products and services that set the industry benchmark for transparency, compliance, and security. His efforts have been recognised as paving the way for the ongoing institutionalisation of the industry. Chapman is a serial entrepreneur in the blockchain space in addition to maintaining more than a decade’s experience in banking and financial technology. He co-founded ANX International (ANX), one of the largest blockchain solution providers. He also co-founded Octagon Strategy in 2016, the largest OTC digital asset trading platform at the time in Asia. Previously, Chapman held senior roles with HSBC, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO and Bear Stearns, among other financial firms. In these positions, he specialised in risk analysis and order management systems and was responsible for the design and implementation of a wide-ranging suite of trading platforms. Chapman is globally respected for his thought leadership on the digital asset ecosystem. He appears regularly on Bloomberg TV, CNBC and CNN to discuss industry trends and has frequently been cited in publications such The Wall Street Journal and Vanity Fair, in addition to industry outlets, such as CoinTelegraph and CoinDesk. Chapman is also an active speaker at conferences and roundtables. He has presented at Consensus New York and participated in events organised by JP Morgan, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Nomura, CLSA, the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers and others.
