About Darryl Button

Mr. Button joined Pacific Life in March 2017 as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), leading the development and implementation of Pacific Life’s corporate and financial strategies. He is responsible for overseeing the corporate finance, internal audit, enterprise risk management and business development functions. In addition, Mr. Button oversees the Investment Management and Real Estate organizations and is responsible for Pacific Life’s Institutional business. Mr. Button serves on Pacific Life’s management committee. ​​​Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Button was with Aegon for 17 years where his most recent role was CFO and a member of the Executive Board of Aegon N.V. He also previously served as head of Aegon N.V.’s corporate financial center, CFO of Aegon’s U.S. subsidiary Transamerica, and as chairman for the company’s Canadian operations. ​​​Mr. Button began his career at Mutual Life Insurance Co. of Canada and is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and a former member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands.
