Darren Mowry is a high-energy, results-focused executive with a diverse background in technology, management consulting, and international sales and business development, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence and cloud computing. He has a proven track record of building hyper-growth international organizations that scale quickly and deliver exceptional customer experiences, enabling organizations to exceed their goals in a shorter timeframe. Currently, Darren leads Google Cloud's business focused on startups in both North America and globally. In this role, he sets strategy and drives the execution of an end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) approach that includes sales and business development, pre-sales technical architecture and engineering, partner and channel impact, and solutions focused on scaling and unlocking Google’s value for customers. He also collaborates closely with leading venture capital and private equity firms to help their portfolio companies grow and accelerate their results. Previously, Darren Mowry launched and led a new business segment for Google Cloud, focusing on high-growth digital natives and mid-market enterprises. Prior to Google Cloud, he held leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led the business across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), including the United Kingdom and Ireland business. His work included leading sales, marketing, service, and technology operations while expanding the AWS footprint in these key markets. He also spearheaded specialized sales and business development initiatives across enterprise migration, digital innovation, and technology specializations like AI/ML, analytics, and high-performance computing (HPC). As Head of AWS Nordics, he managed the operations for AWS in Northern Europe, including sales, technical architecture, marketing, and partnerships. Before his time at AWS, he held various leadership roles at Microsoft, where he served enterprise organizations. His career also includes positions in technology and management consulting at Accenture, a Microsoft consulting partner focused on the internet, and AMS (now part of CGI).
