About Dan Close

Over the course of my career I’ve been fortunate to work with a number of fantastic clients, collaborate with industry-defining partners, build relationships with many remarkable colleagues, work with incredible leaders and represent world-class organizations. I’m thankful for the experience I’ve gained in both leadership as well as individual contributor roles and grateful for the opportunities I have had to learn the businesses I have been part of from a number of perspectives. Working in a cross-functional capacity is rewarding (both personally and professionally) and the nature of my current role with Chargebee ensures that no two days are the same!

During my time with Qualtrics, I was proud to play a pivotal role in building the Partner Ecosystem working with a wide variety of organizations including Market Research firms, System Integrators, Strategy Firms, Boutique consultancies, and other software companies. By establishing relationships with a diverse group of organizations that clients trusted, Qualtrics was able to ensure the organizations served were able to get the insights needed to drive action from the platform.

In my final role with SAP Concur, I led the group globally responsible for Financial Services partnerships, and before that, helped organizations through the evaluation process and have also worked to help introduce additional solutions to existing clients as well as help those clients maximize their investment. As part of the team that developed the first Strategic Industry at Concur, I was responsible for the relationships with Higher Education clients across North America. This role focused on working with senior Finance leadership of these institutions, providing industry insights, and working to address strategic business issues with each school. In my first position at Concur, I worked in a similar capacity with some of Concur’s largest global Enterprise accounts in the western United States across a variety of industries (including Financial Services, Retail, BioTech and Healthcare).

While at AT&T, I gained invaluable experience in a variety of disciplines such as sales management, project management, product management, and, in my last position, a combination of relationship building and direct sales working with some of AT&T’s largest Enterprise clients in the southwest. Leading teams as well as functioning as an individual contributor (and also working in an overlay capacity) during this stage of my career provided an opportunity to gain broad insight on the business I simply would not have had otherwise.
