About Christian Hamilton

When I was starting my career, I was presented with an opportunity to join two different PE firms. One that was super-well established, and the other which was just starting out. I took a risk and joined the start-up and was given a role with far too much responsibility for what I knew - I absolutely loved it! I was hugely engaged, owned what I did and felt totally responsible for all of the mistakes and successes. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I’d have done that job and not been paid. Building Tenzing gives me the same feeling. It pushes me beyond my limits and, every day I’m figuring out something new. I really want the rest of our team to experience their own version of this during their time here. To feel the freedom of no limits or boundaries. To be at the frontier of comfort. To me, they’re the moments that make me feel most alive. I now feel a huge responsibility to create an environment where this is a reality, where people can grow and do their best work. You might call it my purpose. If the last 20 years have taught me anything, it’s that developing is really important to me. I absolutely love to learn, teach others and find people with a growth mindset absolutely fascinating. Being curious and having an open mind always leads to the most interesting conversations and unexpected wins. I’m an introvert, so you’ll never see me jumping around on stage, but I put a lot of value on 121 relationships. I love getting to know people on a deeply human level, learning about what drives them and how they fit together.
