About Chris Newkirk

Chris Newkirk is Visa’s Executive Vice President, Global Head of Commercial & Money Movement Solutions, leading the firm's growth businesses including commercial/B2B, Visa Direct, government, and cross-border solutions. Prior to Visa, He spent 12 years at Capital One, most recently as the President of Small Business, International and the Walmart Partnership, and a member of the Executive Committee. A global executive with excellent leadership skills, he had full P&L responsibility across six lines of business in the U.S., U.K. and Canada, spanning strategy, marketing, sales, product, operations, digital transformation, customer experience, talent, risk management, financial performance and venture investing. Prior to Capital One, He held several leadership roles at Indymac Bank where he led the successful turnaround a commercial lending business, and began his career as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company. Chris Newkirk brings experience from previous roles at Higher Achievement, Visa and DC College Access Program. Chris Newkirk holds a 1996 - 1999 Harvard Law School.
