About Cheri F. McGuire
Ms. McGuire is a technology and cyber security risk and advisory leader with over 30 years in strategy, policy, and operations, and spanning the financial, technology, consulting and government sectors. She currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for SWIFT. Prior to this, she served as global Group Chief Information Security Officer and Managing Director for Standard Chartered Bank in London from 2016-19, and has held senior roles at Microsoft, Symantec, US Department of Homeland Security and Booz Allen Hamilton.
She also currently serves as non-resident scholar and advisory board member to the FinCyber Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a global think tank. In 2021, she was reappointed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to a third term on its international Cyber Security Advisory Panel. She previously served on the: Entrust Corp. Board of Directors, Tenable Corp. Executive Advisory Board, Garrison Corp. Advisory Board, X-Analytics Corp. Advisory Board and Security Scorecard Corp. Advisory Board. Ms. McGuire is a frequent presenter on technology and cyber risk management and resilience, information sharing and partnerships, and cybercrime, and has testified numerous times as an invited expert witness before the US Congress.
