Charlotte Yarkoni, as president of Commerce and Ecosystems (C+E) at Microsoft, her charter covers the end-to-end customer and partner journey for enterprises, ISVs, partners, developers, startups, and students.
Charlotte Yarkoni is focused on creating a differentiated commercial experience across the Azure and AI platform, and strives to make it easier for customers and partners to do business with Microsoft. She is charged with the end-to-end customer and partner journey from discovery of Microsoft products and services to solution development to monetization and payment across Gaming, Retail, Marketing, Experiences & Devices, and Cloud + AI. This includes fostering a vibrant community—online and in person—across sites like developer.microsoft.com and neighborhood campuses that host local interaction known as Reactors. Charlotte Yarkoni is also responsible for platforms such as MS Learn which is an open-source platform that enables technical skilling and collaboration across all Microsoft products and services.
She oversees current and existing business models for all Microsoft and partner products, enabling cross-selling opportunities through all channels while achieving efficiencies of consolidated legacy workflows into a modern architecture. She also sponsors the immersive startup program, Microsoft for Startups, and the flagship student enrichment programs, Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors and Imagine Cup.
An engineer by training, she knows that diversity is the key to innovation. She is a strong supporter and advocate to encourage girls and young women to pursue careers in STEM and takes any opportunity she can to help them along the way.
Charlotte Yarkoni is a lifelong equestrian, and horses have taught her the importance of trusting your instincts, always looking ahead, and communicating with purpose.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Charlotte Yarkoni spent three years at Telstra as President-Telstra Software Group. This strategic growth division focused on new global software businesses and capabilities in markets experiencing digital disruption adjacent to Telstra’s core telecommunications industry. Previously, she held senior vice president positions at EMC and VMware, leading developers of IT infrastructure technology and solutions.
She has an extensive background in cloud-based applications and has held C-level roles for both public and privately held technology firms including CEO of a high-tech startup. Yarkoni has also worked for AT&T, IBM, and Accenture.
Charlotte Yarkoni earned her bachelor's degree in Management Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, and previously served as Vice Chairman at Ooyala and as a Board Director of the Seattle Humane Society.
