About Byron Vielehr

Mr. Byron Vielehr is President of D&B International and Global Operations and he is also a member of D&B's Global Leadership Team. He is responsible for D&B’s international businesses as well operations globally. Mr. Byron Vielehr joined D&B in July 2005 as Chief Information Officer and in 2007 was also named Chief Data Officer. In these roles Mr. Vielehr developed the strategy to accelerate the scale of the D&B database through the application of advanced technology. Most recently, he served as President of D&B North America, focused on driving growth and advancing the Data-as-a-Service and Alliance strategies. Mr. Vielehr has previously held several leadership positions at D&B, including President, Sales & Marketing Solutions, and President, Global Risk & Analytic Solutions. Throughout his career, Mr. Vielehr has spent more than 20 years in senior leadership roles, enabling business growth through the strategic application of technology.  Earlier roles included Chief Information Officer at the Private Client Group at Merrill Lynch, and Chief Information Officer and Global Head of eBusiness at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Mr. Byron Vielehr also served as an executive officer at Strong Capital Management, Thrivent and SST Inc. Byron Vielehr is COO of Apollo and is responsible for aligning the strategic business and investment priorities of the firm with our operational capabilities while leading continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of new technologies. Byron joined Apollo in 2022 and serves on the Firm’s Leadership Team. Byron joins Apollo with over 30 years of technology and financial services experience and most recently served as Chief Growth Officer at Fiserv, an integrated financial technology provider. During his eight-year tenure at Fiserv, he led the Payment, Digital, and Account Processing businesses, and had responsibility for enterprise strategy, M&A, venturing and strategic intelligence. Mr. Vielehr served as President and COO of Northstar Systems. Byron Vielehr received a BS from Drexel University and MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Wisconsin Lubar School of Business and the Greater Milwaukee Committee. Previously Byron Vielehr was on the board of Directors of Checkfree, Sagent, Defi, REIS, Marketcore, and Level 8.
