About Bernd Leukert

Bernd Leukert (born 1967 ) is a member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Bank AG , where he serves as Chief Technology, Data and Innovation Officer . Bernd Leukert studied information technology at Trinity College Dublin and business administration at the University of Karlsruhe . His professional career began in 1994 at SAP . There he held various management positions in software development.  From 2005 to 2010, Bernd Leukert was Senior Vice President , Head of Quality Governance and Production. In February 2011, Leukert was appointed Executive Vice President SAP Applications Innovation. He held this position until May 2013, when he was appointed Member of the Global Managing Board, Head of Application Innovation.  In May 2014, Leukert became a member of the Executive Board of SAP until he moved to Deutsche Bank AG in September 2019, where he served as Chief Technology, Data and Innovation Officer. Since 1 January 2020, Bernd Leukert has been a member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank AG.  Bernd Leukert plans to restructure its IT systems to reduce complexity. He previously worked at SAP, the global software company. From 2014 to 2019, he was responsible for product development and innovations as well as the Digital Business Services division on the Executive Board. Bernd Leukert brings 25 years of experience in product development at the leading Germany-based software firm. Seasoned c-level technology and business leader with +25 years of international experience and proven track record in designing, developing, and delivering software and managing services and support with a strong focus on customer value – most recently responsible for a 3.4bn Euro service revenue business, 11bn Euro maintenance revenue and +25.600 FTE. Bernd Leukert brings experience from previous roles at DWS Group, Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, TomTom and Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
