About Avtar Singh Sehra

Avtar Singh Sehra has a PhD in Theoretical Physics and research experience in quantitative computational engineering. Since leaving academia Avtar has held leadership positions in investment banking and consulting, specialising in financial engineering, quantitative risk management, structuring and product management. He is now the CEO and chief architect in Nivaura, a regulated financial technology provider for managing the full lifecycle of financial instrument issuance and administration. He is also a director and advisor for a number of startups in finance and healthcare that leverage quantitative methods/analytics and cryptocurrencies/blockchain across Europe and Asia. Avtar Singh Sehra is the founder and CEO of a new crypto startup, Libre, a JV with institutional partners consisting of the Alan Howard backed WebN Group and Nomura's Laser Digital. A primary markets technology company, that is focused on driving digitisation and automation in debt and money market instrument issuance and post trade processing. Avtar drove the company to raise USD20million, and executed product launches across Europe and Asia, as well as opening new market opportunities in the US. Avtar is also a director and advisor for startups and infrastructure firms in crypto/DeFi, AI and cybersecurity. Since leaving academia Avtar has held leadership positions in investment banking and consulting, specialising in financial engineering, risk management, and data operations. Avtar has also held regulated positions as a director, CEO, CRO/MLRO for MiFID and CASS firms.
