About Anupam Sinha

Anupam Sinha is the Global Head of Domestic Payments and Receivables within Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions business. In this role he is responsible for formulating and executing product strategy for the business globally, including overseeing Citi’s direct access to 250+ clearing houses across ACH, wires and checks. Anupam is also responsible for building the new business line for Consumer Payments, Spring by Citi as well as rolling out a globally consistent Instant Payments proposition to future proof Citi’s payment network. He is actively engaged in leveraging fintechs to develop new and innovative propositions for client Anupam has more than 23 years’ experience in transaction banking, pre-dominantly in product management and across operations and technology. Anupam started his career with Citi in India after completing his MBA and was based in London for 15 years before moving to New York in his current role in August 2015. Prior to his current role, Anupam was EMEA Head of Corporate Payments and Market Management for Citi. He has extensive experience running businesses in country, regional and global roles based across Asia, EMEA and North America. Anupam has been active in the payments industry and regularly participates at industry panel discussions. He has been on the founding board of directors of the UK Faster Payments scheme, one of the first instant payments schemes globally. He was also member of the European Banking Association's (EBA) committee responsible for developing the SEPA (Single Europe Payments Area) Direct Debit scheme for Eurozone markets. He was very actively associated with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in its formative years. Anupam has also been on the Board of Directors for UK Payments scheme, BACS and was a shareholder’s representative at European Banking Association (EBA).
