About Anna-Marie Slot

My unique combination of legal, finance and ESG expertise enables me to partner with other
business leaders committed to leading a future focused sustainable organisation. I am the first Global Sustainability/ESG Partner for Ashurst and a Finance Partner with over two decades of legal and finance experience. I am a Member of The Board of The American Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong, and on the advisory board of an environmental fin tech and enterprise technology company.

As the first Global Sustainability/ESG Partner, I developed and lead the firm’s ESG strategy across practices and industries through engagement with clients and for us internally as our first chief sustainability officer. I work strategically across the firm with my fellow partners and associates to identify opportunities to grow business through a relentless focus on our clients’ needs.

I’m part of a team of intrapreneurs within Ashurst across our financial regulatory, sustainability and digital teams who developed and launched the firm’s first digital product, a sustainability-focused regulatory tool to help clients comply with the EU sustainable finance disclosures regulations. I am committed to the intersection of Sustainability and data and passionate about the business transformation required of us all to create a sustainable and resilient world for future generations.

In launching the firm’s first podcast channel, ESG Matters @Ashurst, I worked with our teams across the globe in creating our first thought leadership in podcast format. I developed, sourced and present the content for our first series “30 for Net Zero 30”, a collection of discussions exploring what companies and organisations need to do in the near term to achieve 2030 goals around sustainability, net zero and other SDG goals.

As Global Head of High Yield, I lead a team of experienced US qualified attorneys across our network. I am responsible for group P&L, recruitment, management and training. I established Ashurst’s High-Yield capability as our first High Yield partner and built the global practice, starting in the Asia region and expanding across our network with hubs in Asia and Europe. Together with my team, I have delivered our best for our clients and built a business executing first-of-their-kind capital markets offerings.
