About Andrew Fanner
Andrew is a highly motivated and results focused product and marketing leader. He has a unyielding desire to create new experiences to improve customers lives and works with his teams to ensure the balance between pragmatism of speed to market is combined with aesthetic beauty and simplicity.
Having grown up and studied in Durban, South Africa, he moved to London where he spend most of his career before emigrating to Sydney in July 2021.
He is an executive (C-suite) level commercial-minded Product & Marketing leader. He has demonstrated success in B2C and B2B focused roles, and has spent his career in financial services (across a range of companies from global Fortune 250 through to start-up & Fintech organisations).
Andrew is responsible for Product and Marketing at Cape, the leading expense and spend management platform. He can draw on his experience at Cashplus in London, where he was responsible for Marketing and Product, building solutions for the SME focused audience. Cashplus is one of the few profitable challenger banks in the UK, it was authorised as a banking early in 2021 which will allow it to achieve further growth plans within the SME space.
He joined Cashplus at start-up stage and grew with the company, starting in junior roles within marketing, before promotion resulted in C-level positions including Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Digital Delivery Director and even CTO for an interim period. As a result of growing within a start-up Andrew is as comfortable at presenting at board level as he is rolling his sleeves up to lead delivery.
Andrew is particularly strong within the digital space where he can shape a marketing strategy, or engage a delivery team of Devs, BAs (etc) to prioritise a backlog, create user stories or project manage a squad. He has exceptional success with PPC, SEO and other performance activity. He is equally accomplished within the Digital Experience (read: UX/UI) arena, having ownership for Mobile App and Desktop based servicing and application platforms.
