Anders la Cour | Banking Circle | Fintech Finance
Anders la Cour has a background as a technology and financial M&A lawyer before moving into the fintech industry to make cross-border payments more efficient by providing banks and payment firms with mission-critical financial infrastructure. As co-founder of Banking Circle, he is incredibly excited to see their technology enabling banks and payment firms to provide their customers with access to fast, low-cost international payments and banking solutions. By handling the onerous parts of the process, Banking Circle allows customers to avoid building their own infrastructure or correspondent banking network. This approach supports customer growth and empowers financial inclusion by giving businesses of all sizes access to new markets and world-class financial services. Some recent career highlights include Banking Circle becoming a fully licensed bank in 2019 and his appointment as Chair of the newly launched non-profit business association, Emerging Payments Association (EPA) EU. On LinkedIn, Anders discusses key issues in payments, finance, and technology, and he is eager to hear other views and opinions, looking forward to engaging with his network's reactions. Anders la Cour was a top graduate from the University Master of Laws in Denmark, and was admitted to the Bar in 2008. His experience in legal M&A, as well as in venture capital, coupled with his strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mind-set means Anders understands the financial tech industry. In identifying a flaw in how the FinTech sector is serviced by the banks, he has seized the opportunity to bring a solution to market that will be a serious game-changer and challenger to the status quo. Anders is responsible for the day to day management of Banking Circle Group as well as investor relations.
