Dame Alison Rose is an entrepreneurial, transformational, and impact-driven senior banking executive and CEO with a 30+ year track record of managing complex organizations and initiatives, leading key turnarounds, and growing revenue while reducing costs.
Most recently CEO of NatWest, where she joined as a graduate trainee, rising through the ranks to become the first woman to lead a major UK bank. During her tenure as CEO, she delivered growth in core segments following several years of decline, successfully steered the bank through the pandemic and war in Europe, and managed complex corporate restructuring.
In previous leadership roles, including as Deputy CEO; CEO of the Commercial, Corporate, and Private Bank, Head of Europe, Middle East, and Africa Markets & International Banking; and Global Head of Portfolio Management, Alison led key initiatives to improve customer segmentation and experience, delivered growth of the private bank, increasing AUMA almost 2x.
Dame Alison Rose is a strong advocate for female entrepreneurship and launched a seminal report commissioned by the UK government, providing over 800K opportunities for female entrepreneurs. She is also deeply passionate about industry action on climate change and positioned NatWest as a leader in Climate Lending.
