About Alexandre Maymat

Alexandre Maymat has been working for Société Générale. He became Director of Inspection and Audit. A graduate of the École Polytechnique and ENSAE, he started at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in 1992, then at the European Union, before joining the Société Générale group in 2001 as a senior inspector. Having become regional director in 2006, then deputy director of international retail banking and, in 2013, director of international banking networks, Africa, Mediterranean basin and overseas region.  Financial attaché at the representation of the European Union from 1996 to 1999, Alexandre Maymat became deputy secretary to the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union until 2001. He held several positions within the bank, as managing director in Cameroon from 2009 to 2012 and global manager of transaction & payment services from 2019 to 2023.
