About Alan Koenigsberg

Alan Koenigsberg is an experienced financial services and payments executive with a demonstrated history of results in the banking and payments industry. Before his current role as Global Head of New Payment Flows at Visa, he was managing director and Corporate Banking group executive at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. An industry leader with over 30 years experience including roles at J.P. Morgan and American Express, he has deep experience across financial services including: marketing, product management and sales executive positions. He has held posts in the US, UK/Europe and managed global businesses. He leads a global team at Visa that develops and deploys innovative solutions for large and middle-market clients, as well as treasury and working capital/vertical solutions. He also serves as the President of Visa Global Services Inc, which oversees Visa's money transfer services business in the US across multiple lines of business. Alan Koenigsberg is passionate about democratizing trade and payments for all, believing that financial inclusion brings the world together. He has had the pleasure of working in multiple regions and markets, including the Middle East, Europe, and the US, and has contributed to improving and rebuilding financial infrastructures, including being embedded in war zones. Alan also believes that non-profit board service is a wonderful way to use one's skills and give back. He serves on the board of directors of the Ackerman Institute for the Family, a non-profit organization that supports and trains families and clinicians in family therapy. He holds an MBA in Marketing and International Business.
